I bet that not only have you had people notice your weight loss and were happy for you, but you had others that noticed your weight loss and criticized you. The cold hard truth is that everyone knows at least one of them. You know… H-A-T-E-R-S!
Yes, HATERS! I bet you have even talked with them. They may have told you that you were crazy, or that you don’t look any different.
Maybe they are not that bold, but they may have tried to sabotage you by asking you to go to lunch, then ordered the biggest, most fat- and calorie-laden food while you were at the table!
I’ve got great news: It’s OK.
The reality is that they are just jealous, and they do not want you to succeed because it will only make them feel worse about themselves—or maybe, just maybe, the “new you” is a threat to them.
Brush it off, or better yet, go ahead and make them even more jealous! Keep moving forward. You’re worth it!
I also want to mention that we realize by now you're probably tempted to go celebrate at a restaurant, or you have a job that has you entertaining a bit and you have business meals requiring you to eat out.
Remeber, it's okay to inquire about ingredients and ask for food to be cooked differently. For example, ask them to steam vegetables, or just ask for them to be cooked without oil or butter. Same with your entree. Most restaurants have oil and vinegar for an alternative to dressings. Just use the vinegar. Eating out doesn't have to be too difficult if you choose the right restaurants.
Now, we realize you can't carry your digital scale with you into restaurants and even if you could, your 4 oz portions are to be the pre-cooked weight. So in this instance, make your portions no larger than something you can carry in the palm of your hand.
Stay strong! You got this!
